On November 5 from 12:00 to 20:00, Kvartira S gallery traditionally held\u00a0a large seasonal vernissage showcasing new names and the most striking works by contemporary artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

This time, IVanGogh \u2014 a restaurant and art space in the very heart of the capital \u2014 was chosen as the festive venue. The theme of the November celebration \u2014 \"The Colors of Van Gogh\" \u2014 was carried through the interior, the exhibition, and the rich program prepared by the organizers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, during the vernissage, entire families could take part in creating stained-glass paintings under the guidance of master Yulia Ivanova. Artist Aleksandra Sokolova, who worked on the film Loving Vincent, gave a master class and spoke about how the frames of the season's most talked-about premiere were painted. Art historian Nikolai Zharinov presented a film about the film and delivered a lecture on Van Gogh's work \u00a0ahead of the picture's wide release on November 9. In the evening, IVanGogh restaurant chef Artem Martirosov presented a unique culinary show, \"Broken Flowers.\" After that, bartender Archil Nergadze shattered alcohol myths during his \"Absinthe Lessons.\" The gastronomic performance was accompanied by Good Music Corner and DJ Artem Goverdovsky.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"The Colors of Van Gogh\" is the 5th seasonal vernissage organized by Kvartira S gallery in Moscow. On 9 November, Russian screens will host the premiere of the unique film \"Loving Vincent\". A few days earlier, on 5 November, at the vernissage \"Colors of Van Gogh\" held in support of the premiere, a film about the film was screened.
\nBefore the screening, art historian and cultural scholar Nikolai Zharinov spoke about Van Gogh\u2019s oeuvre. After the film, anyone who wished could ask Nikolai questions.
\nBut that is not all! At 4:00 p.m. Alexandra Sokolova joined the audience \u2014 the artist, the only master from Russia who took part in creating the film \"Loving Vincent\". She shared her experience, spoke about how the film was painted and how each frame was made. Alexandra also gave a master class and held a prize draw among the guests.

Alexandra Sokolova<\/strong> is an artist who in 2004 graduated from Sergey Andriaka\u2019s School of Watercolor. In 2015 she graduated from VGIK (production designer).\u00a0She was awarded scholarships from the Spivakov Foundation and Young Talents.
\nAfter graduating from the institute she was selected as one of 125 artists from different countries\u00a0to create the first fully painted feature film \"Loving Vincent\". On the project she became the only artist from Russia.
\nShe has taken part in many group exhibitions in Russia and abroad and this year plans to present her works at solo exhibitions in Gdansk, Poland (13.10.17-8.11.17<\/a>) and Berlin, Germany (11.11.17-11.12.17).
\nHer works are held in private collections around the world, including\u00a0 Australia, Canada, America, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Finland and Russia.<\/p>\n
