The project \u201cParallel Worlds\u201d presents works by two contemporary artists \u2014 Sasha Sokolova<\/a> and Natalia Onufrieva<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sasha Sokolova<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Paintings executed in different techniques and in the artists\u2019 distinctive personal styles are united by the theme of how the inner and outer worlds shape a woman\u2019s identity, while the works themselves are filled with bright, sunlit colors and a playful spirit.<\/p>\n

Natalia Onufrieva<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Natalia\u2019s works draw the viewer\u2019s attention inward \u2014 sharp, prickly forms and fluid ornamental shapes symbolize the vivid individuality and boldness inherent in every woman. The exhibition includes new paintings by Natalia created for the gallery\u2019s project Les Femmes<\/a> in France. Sasha Sokolova\u2019s paintings tell of the stories and states a woman enters when her inner world is in harmony with her surroundings. The exhibition features new works by Sasha from her well-known Splash series.<\/p>\n

About the Artists: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>Sasha Sokolova<\/em><\/p>\n

Artist. Born into a creative family. Recipient of scholarships from the Spivakov Foundation and the Young Talents programme. Among 125 artists from different countries, she was the sole representative from Russia to take part in the creation of the first fully painted feature film, \u201cLoving Vincent.\u201d In 2017, she presented her work in solo exhibitions in Poland and Germany. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Russia, the United States, France, Poland, and other countries, including the Russian Academy of Watercolour and Fine Arts (Moscow, Russia), Zephyr Hotel (San Francisco, USA), Hyatt Centric Hotel Times Square (New York, USA), \u201cDiscovery Portraits\u201d at Station F (Paris, France), \u201c364 Days\u201d (Moscow, Russia), and others. Sasha\u2019s works are held in private collections around the world, including in Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Poland, France, Finland, and Russia.<\/em><\/p>\n

Natalia Onufrieva<\/em><\/p>\n

Artist. Participated in the Weihnachtsmarkt Lehderstrasse Christmas Art Fair (Berlin, 2018). Group exhibitions and projects of the \"Drawing Club\" at the Central House of Artists in Moscow (2013\u20132015). Participant in the international <\/em>LES <\/em>FEMMES project of the Kvartira <\/em>S Gallery in France.\u00a0<\/em>Natalia has always been drawn to the female form, to which her work is devoted. Each painting tells the story of a modern woman\u2019s journey into herself.\u00a0<\/em>Her works are held in private collections in Russia, the United States, and Germany.<\/em><\/p>\n
