The Interweavings project comprises works by contemporary artist Ekaterina Kolesnikova<\/a>, executed in her distinctive signature style and united by the profound theme of a harmonious interplay of opposites.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ekaterina Kolesnikova<\/a>: \u201cComplex \"interweavings\" of past and present, the living and the artificial, self-sacrifice and absorption, the subtle unconscious and that which frankly thirsts for life, constantly unfolding in the surrounding world and in the human mind.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Decorative compositions incorporating urban landscape and floral motifs form the principal narrative thread of Ekaterina\u2019s works. Executed in the artistic technique of tempera, they are distinguished by a deep matte surface. The absence of paint texture allows the artist to render the finest details with care, ensuring exceptional clarity of line and a seamless transition from brighter tones to more muted ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Canvases of distinctive shape, colors muted to retro tones, and lyrical subjects with enlarged details \u2014 these are the hallmarks of Ekaterina\u2019s paintings. They make it easy to place these works of art in interiors of any style and purpose.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEkaterina Kolesnikova\u2019s solo exhibition presents different stages of the artist\u2019s practice. Works executed in various techniques, yet in a recognizable signature style, are united by a love of artistic exploration and graphic line. Ekaterina Kolesnikova <\/a>\u00a0graduated with honors from the Chelyabinsk Art College. Ekaterina\u2019s first major project was Chelyabinsk Palette, eight canvases from which were used for a postcard series. She was a member of the regional youth association of the VTOO \u201cUnion of Artists of Russia\u201d (2001\u20132015). She graduated from the Faculty of Art and Graphics of Magnitogorsk State University. Exhibitions: solo exhibition Chamber Theatre (Chelyabinsk, 2016); solo exhibition at Fort Gallery (Sochi, 2017), and others. Having completed a full cycle of professional education \u2014 art studio, art college, university Faculty of Art and Graphics \u2014 Ekaterina continues to seek new paths of creative development.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
