The number of participants is limited.<\/b><\/p>\n

Works addressing politics, the epidemiological situation, or depicting nudity will not be accepted for the exhibition.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe all come from childhood,\u201d said Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry. Where does life begin? When does a person realize that they have grown up and are no longer a child? Or perhaps they never cease to be one? How can we understand why a person has become who they are?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Questions of self-determination and the search for one\u2019s origins have preoccupied people throughout history, from the ancient Greek philosophers to the fathers of psychoanalysis. Today, childhood experiences are believed to shape an individual\u2019s character throughout their life. In the past, people believed that a person\u2019s actions and character were dictated by a higher power. Sometimes these patterns can be changed; in other cases, it is virtually impossible. Searching for the foundation of everything is the task of anyone who seeks to understand themselves from within.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201c<\/span>Every day, we act, make decisions, and choose our words, but each of us must decide for ourselves what or who determines these actions. Society, parents, God, intuition\u2014what predetermines our choices? In the exhibition \u2018Everything Begins with\u2026\u2019, we plan to present works that offer an answer to the question of what influences our lives and what defines them<\/span><\/i>,\u201d says the exhibition curator, Maria Grafutko.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We welcome submissions of paintings and graphic works, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and installations exploring where our Life begins and how we become who we are.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
