Evgenia Shvetsova\u2019s exhibition \u201cDreams to Grow Into\u201d tells the story of how an artist dreams of the future from early childhood. Many dreams are destined to fail, yet the most childlike and na\u00efve ones unexpectedly come true.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Childhood memories and fantasies hold a special place in Evgenia Shvetsova\u2019s art. Implausible dreams, imaginary scenarios from childhood games, and fantastical stories\u2014all become part of her works. The artist\u2019s practice resembles an experiment in which every sorrow and joy is transformed into imagery on canvas.<\/p>\n

Every person carries echoes of the past\u2014memories from childhood that shape their perception of the world. Evgenia Shvetsova invites viewers to see and experience this through the prism of new meanings and motifs, immersing themselves in the imaginary worlds she creates. The artist uses deliberately distorted compositions and vivid forms of colour\u2014thus always leaving viewers room for free interpretation and imagination. Each work becomes an opportunity to return to the beginning\u2014to childhood\u2014and reconsider one\u2019s path through life.<\/p>\n

\u201cDreams are like clothes bought to grow into\u2014they seem unattainable and impossible, yet at a certain moment they do become reality\u201d<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Artist Evgenia Shvetsova graduated from the Kazan Art School, Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and the Moscow School of Cinema. She has participated in Russian and international competitions. She has exhibited since 2020, with appearances including the Lipetsk MOMA Festival, \u201cNew Manege \u201923,\u201d the \u201cKhabensky Foundation Charity Exhibition,\u201d \u201cDubai ART BUSINESS LIFE,\u201d and \u201cWeekend 2023 Turkey (Ankara).\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
