The solo exhibition Yulia Vasilyeva\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cLook Up\u201d<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>presents the series \u201cCloud Atlas,\u201d exploring the uniqueness of celestial and aquatic environments \u2014 integral elements of the space of life and timeless sources of artistic inspiration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition is set beneath a glass roof and seeks to awaken in the viewer a sense of unity between the inner self and the surrounding world. The paintings seem to invite one to pause and reflect, to rethink the space around \u2014 and to do so, one need only raise one\u2019s head: simply look up\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/i>The sky, the clouds, and the expanses of water appear not merely as elements of landscape, but as symbols of a dynamic equilibrium between the transience of existence and the eternity of the Universe. About the artist:\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Yulia Vasilyeva<\/b>\"\"<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

Has been engaged in artistic practice since 2021. Since 2022 she has been experimenting, giving preference to mixed media using texture pastes, various types of wax, fabric, and natural materials. In her works she applies a new approach to the cold wax painting technique, in which oil paint is classically the principal medium \u2014 a number of works are executed by the artist\u2019s own method using acrylic, pigments, and water-soluble wax. In 2023 she began to take an active interest in upcycling and, in parallel with her painting, creates various decorative objects in this technique. T<\/i>he principal subjects of the paintings\u00a0 <\/span>\u2014 marine and natural landscapes in an abstract style.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/i>For me, making a painting is always an experiment, as well as a very close emotional bond with the subject. Each of my works is a reflection of the stretch of time I lived through while creating it.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
