The exhibition \u201cHarmony of Silence\u201d brings together the works of two French artists \u2014 paintings by Myriam Doridot<\/strong> and sculptures by Alys Baillard<\/strong> \u2014 in a subtle dialogue on presence, trace, and inner space.<\/div>\n

On Myriam Doridot\u2019s canvases are everyday Eastern scenes, moments of contemplation, waiting, and calm. Her works do not tell stories, but convey states of being \u2014 giving form to moments of pause, when the gaze stills and time becomes almost tangible. The artist\u2019s painting is attentive to silence, to what unfolds unnoticed. Myriam Doridot is from Burgundy; she grew up in an artistic milieu, beside her father\u2019s painting studio. For Myriam, art is now an essential space of self-expression. The artist works primarily in dry pastel and oil painting, within the field of figurative and abstract art. All of Myriam Doridot\u2019s work is driven by a single impulse \u2014 to give form to an inner presence and to offer the viewer a sensual, intimate, and quiet experience.<\/div>\n

The geodes \u2014 spheres by Alys Baillard presented in the exhibition \u2014 continue this experience through clay and resin. Alys recreates natural forms and experiments with the aesthetics of wabi-sabi within the philosophy of kintsugi.<\/div>\n

Geode art<\/strong> is a technique that recreates the appearance and texture of stones using epoxy resin and clay.<\/em><\/div>\n
The wabi-sabi technique<\/strong> focuses on simplicity, natural materials, and the unaltered appearance of objects, finding beauty in imperfection. The word \u201cwabi\u201d translates as \u201cmodesty\u201d or \u201csimplicity.\u201d In turn, \u201csabi\u201d means \u201cseasonality\u201d or \u201cwithering.\u201d Sometimes wabi-sabi is translated from Japanese as \u201cbeauty in imperfection.\u201d<\/em><\/div>\n
The philosophy of kintsugi<\/strong> lies in the acceptance of flaws and imperfections. Just as one honours wrinkles and scars on the body, kintsugi proposes not to discard broken porcelain, but to value it as it is, with its rich life history.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For Alys Baillard, imperfections become a language, and cracks and flaws a source of meaning: in her geodes, fragility is transformed into a poetic force.<\/div>\n

Painting and sculpture meet in the exhibition in a shared search: to make visible what is not obvious, to listen into the silence, and to reveal the harmony born of simple gestures and inner forms.<\/div>\n
