Even if you had never felt any affection for Moscow before, you would surely have fallen in love with it after visiting artist Daria Vorobyova<\/a>\u2019s solo exhibition, \u201cBeloved City,\u201d at the Curations Limited vintage furniture showroom.<\/p>\n

Moscow\u2019s inviting streets, sunlit boulevards and secluded lanes. Prechistenka, Pyatnitskaya, Petrovka, Baumanskaya, Zamoskvorechye... Vibrant, expressive, filled with a distinctive atmosphere and genuine warmth, Daria\u2019s paintings blended beautifully into the showroom\u2019s original Proven\u00e7al and vintage interior.<\/p>\n

I was born in Moscow in 1988, and from an early age I felt drawn to drawing and art.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

For me, creativity is the absolute expression of my inner self and of my impressions of the world that surrounds me every day. I work in mixed media. It is not merely a trend in art, but also an opportunity to transcend boundaries, experiment and convey colour, form and mood as fully as possible in each new painting. By combining several different techniques, either simultaneously or in succession, I create the conditions for complete artistic freedom: I blend watercolour with oils, \u201cseasoned\u201d with sanguine, or, conversely, make a quick sketch of \u201cthat very moment\u201d using pen and acrylic. Mixed media allows me to avoid a rigid sequence and give my emotions absolute freedom!<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
