The exhibition featured 24 works by the young Russian artist Klazki<\/a>. His art is a blend of contemporary fine art, pop-art culture, illustration, and an unconventional perspective on everyday things.<\/p>\n

Klazki is a Moscow-based artist, illustrator, and designer. Several years ago, Klazki created a character named Squirrel Johan. He is a white squirrel who lives a human life: going about his business, relaxing, dreaming, fooling around, getting into mischief, and sometimes feeling sad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe subjects of my works are drawn from the everyday life of Squirrel Johan. Johan is every one of us. Perhaps tomorrow I will see you on the street or in a caf\u00e9\u2014and a new painting will emerge.\u201d <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In his short life, Johan the squirrel has already appeared in illustrations for postcards and as a motif on clothing patches, phone cases, and stickers.<\/p>\n

Alongside his beloved character, Klazki also creates paintings on other subjects.<\/p>\n
