On 19 February, Gallery Kvartira S, together with the restaurant "45 Parallel", held another major seasonal vernissage, "The Age of Aquarius".
This celebration of art and refined living, which has become a beautiful tradition, lasted all Sunday. From noon until late evening, guests of the vernissage were treated to a rich programme: family art workshops led by artists, a neon soap-bubble show, a lecture by an art historian, a tasting by the first wine academician, live music and, of course, the most contemporary, most vibrant art.
Established and emerging Russian artists, united by the theme "The Age of Aquarius", presented an extensive exhibition of more than fifty works, organically set within the remarkable décor of the venue. Entirely different in format, technique and colour, the paintings by the artists of Gallery Kvartira S became the conceptual heart of the vernissage, drawing around them the city's artistic intelligentsia and business elite.

At the vernissage of "The Age of Aquarius" on Sunday, 19 February, from 6:00 p.m., we drank wine! With feeling, purpose, and poise! Under the guidance of a great friend of our gallery — Russia’s first wine academician, lead import manager for alcohol at "Azbuka Vkusa", head of the training department at FORT Wine & Spirits, and sommelier Tatyana Selivanova.
An interactive tasting session, "Wine and Water". We spoke about the secrets of winemakers and the true purpose of wine, tried our hand as wine experts, and simply enjoyed a lively conversation in pleasant company.
At 5:00 p.m., guests of the vernissage "The Age of Aquarius" were treated to a talk by art historian and Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts lecturer Alina Aksyonova. Topic: "Inhabitants of the Waters in Art".
