"I was born in 1960 in Paris, to a Russian father and an Iranian mother. I spent my childhood between France and Iran. An architect by training, I first practiced my profession while, at the same time, cultivating a passion for art. My inspiration comes from Iran, the country of my origins, from Russia, of which my grandmother used to tell, from France, where I studied, and from Martinique, which was my home for several years. This wealth of differences, this diversity of cultures, and my sensitivity to the world around me compel me to create. Fairy tales and fables, the timeless stories that impressed me in childhood, have today immersed me in a new fantastic universe, peopled by strange creatures. I love to create my own world, where everything ridiculous, unserious and invented is the "key" to our reality, which is often too heavy".
