Gallery «Kvartira S» continues to introduce new names in contemporary art and invites admirers of the aesthetics of the human body to the exhibition of the artist Vladimir Arkhanghelsky «Without Words».
The principal source of inspiration and of knowing the world for Vladimir is the human being—his thoughts, aspirations, and feelings. In his works the artist removes all external noise, leaving a person alone with himself, outside of context. The central idea also dictates the painterly technique: like a sculptor, the author selects the upper layers of paint, cuts away the superfluous, and reveals hidden meanings.
«For me, the human body is a universal instrument for seeking answers to eternal questions. Pose, composition, and color arise according to the laws of Aristotelian dramaturgy “here and now,” becoming a concentration of feelings and experiences realized on canvas».
White is the principal color of Vladimir Arkhanghelsky’s palette—the color of the universe, of transparency and purity. It is the ideal means of casting off the bustle of the surrounding world and immersing oneself in the depths of emotion.
In the works of Vladimir Arkhanghelsky there is no affectation, no strained dynamism, no conflict. Only absolute harmony, complete dissolution into a white space cleansed of the dictates of the external environment. A sense of dialogue arises—an intimacy of communication without words, a conversation of silence, a touch of the innermost.

«My paintings need not be understood—they need to be felt. They do not require long texts and explanations. Other channels of perception come into play here. This is a painting of state, accessible to everyone. A person must remember that he can feel, and find that fragment of silence in his heart».
