Dmitry Kolistratov

The exhibition “We’re Not Going Anywhere” brings together three renowned contemporary artists: Dmitry Kolistratov, Sergey Bryukhanov, and Oleg Grigorash. Works in a range of styles are united by the theme of summer spent at home and close to home. The paintings are distinguished by each artist’s individual manner, distinctive technique, and unexpected color choices, all of which evoke the intended mood.

Sergey Bryukhanov

This unusual presentation, bringing together the paintings of three artists, creates a harmonious interplay of color and space.

Through abstract forms and structures, Sergey Bryukhanov vividly conveys the atmosphere of warm days and the distinctive mood of a summer lived under exceptional circumstances. The rich palette of his works reveals the objects of the surrounding world on canvas and allows the viewer to experience the emotion invested in them by the artist.

Dmitry Kolistratov’s profound hyperrealist works invite the viewer to become fully immersed in the reality of a particular location. The artist’s approach is rooted in the interplay of light and shadow, the construction of rigorous lines, and clearly defined spatial boundaries.

Oleg Grigorash draws on the methods of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, yet employs them in a highly distinctive manner. Sweeping brushstrokes, dense compositions, soft forms, textured surfaces, and singular color choices—all of these powerfully convey the artist’s mood to the viewer.

The exhibition opening will take place on August 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is free.

The opening will feature the performance “Amazing Creatures” by the Alla Perova Theatre. The performance is founded on the idea that a work of art can be not only a particular object produced through a creative act, but also the creative act itself. “Amazing Creatures” brings life and art as close together as possible, asserting that one is not so very different from the other, and speaks of the beauty and fragility of nature.Performers: Alexander Ovchinnikov and Slava Miligem.

Time: 6:30–7:30 p.m.

The Old World! Mysterious Asia and spectacular Europe have beckoned artists throughout the ages. Without leaving Moscow, we will paint the Old World with Sergey Bryukhanov—a master of color, a poet of composition, an artist, educator, and passionate traveler. The maestro of the brush teaches us the freedom to create.

Together with Nadezhda Stankevichiute, sommelier at the Pervy Nos wine boutique, you will embark on a journey through the Old World rich in flavors and aromas: beginning with an elegant Crémant from France, cooling down with a Riesling from austere Germany, and warming up with a velvety Primitivo from the shores of Italy. We invite you on an artistic and gastronomic journey without leaving the capital.

You will discover the finer points of working with sketches and color and overcome your fear of self-expression. You will spend a wonderful Friday evening and take home not only a painting, but also warm memories of summer.
