from July 4 to August 2, 2022.

Works addressing politics, the epidemiological situation, or the nude figure will not be accepted for the exhibition.
Curator — Sasha Rishar.
Whatever an artist creates, someone is bound to say, “Nobody does it that way!”, followed by an assertive command: it should be more realistic, more abstract, more conceptual, simpler, cheaper, more expensive... and the list goes on forever.
To whom, and since when, does an artist owe anything? In response, one may hear even more profound words of wisdom: “because that is the way it is done,” “because that is better.” Those whose opinions are truly worth heeding are rarely found among such advisers. If you are doing what your heart tells you to do, then do it for yourself.
“And if someone tells you, ‘Nobody does it that way!’ reply, ‘But I am Somebody!’” Marina Tsvetaeva.
At some point, the ability to see and create in your own way will become your signature style, your calling card, and your defining trait. It is precisely such works that are especially valued in the art world.
As part of this Open Call, artists are invited to present works that are unusual for them—works in which they followed a logic of their own and found unconventional solutions to their artistic challenges.
The application must include:
-
a CV (the artist’s portfolio in any format and a brief biography in Word, submitted as separate files);
-
high-quality photographs of 1–3 completed works, specifying their dimensions, materials, year of creation, and price;
-
a photograph of the artist in JPEG format;
-
a description of the proposed works.
Painting, framed graphic art, photography, installations, and collages are eligible for submission, with each artist presenting between one and three works. The selection will be made by the curator and the gallery team.
Participation requires a membership fee of 6,000 rubles for gallery residents and 10,000 rubles for new participants. The membership fee covers installation services, the printing of promotional materials, PR, announcements in the media and on social networks, the opening reception, and guided exhibition tours. An agreement will be concluded with each participant.
