The "Ostav svoy sled" Project

with colourful support from "MANDERS"

Together with visitors to the “Pure Sensations” exhibition and MANDERS, we created a large abstract canvas. Everyone was invited to add “their own stroke” to the collective unconscious and enter for a chance to win dinner with the artist Maksim Krasnitsky —all they had to do was photograph “their trace” on the canvas and post the image on Instagram with the hashtag #abstract_kvartiras!

The winners of the “Ostav svoy sled” competition were Yana Lebedeva and her co-creator @marta_elagina. For transforming the collective canvas into a “pink miracle” and creating a series of photographs at the “Pure Sensations” exhibition, we sent the girls to a Late Night Brunch at the Ciderella cider bar with our artist Maksim Krasnitsky. Here’s to the girls and their boundless creativity!

And the collective unconscious embodied in this magnificent canvas, painted by approximately 450 people over the course of two weeks, will be offered at auction after a few subtle artistic finishing touches. Look out for details on our blog and social media—and leave your mark on this life.

A Gift from Good Music Show and Tanya Klyat

Together with Good Music Corner Show, a partner of the “Pure Sensations” exhibition that provided its wonderful musical accompaniment, we gave away one of Tanya Klyat’s paintings. To enter the draw, participants simply had to repost the Good Music Corner Show episode No. 10 announcement on VKontakte. A bot selected the winner, Anya Mikheeva. Tanya Klyat’s abstract painting has found its new owner! (Incidentally, Anya told us that she loved the work.)

A Lecture by Yulia Chebotar

On August 2, the Kvartira S online gallery held an interactive lecture entitled “Abstract Painting in the Interior” as part of the “Pure Sensations” exhibition. The speaker was Yulia Chebotar, a designer, stylist for photo shoots featured in AD, Mezonin, ELLE Decoration and Salon magazines, and lead stylist at the online store TheFurnish.ru.

The stylist discussed the following topics with visitors to the exhibition:
— The placement of paintings in interiors and approaches to colour;
— Principles for balancing the dimensions of a canvas with interior furnishings;
— The mood and harmony that abstraction brings to an interior.

Yulia also offered a wealth of advice on individual interiors and joined the guests in the interactive art project “Ostav svoy sled.”
