The exhibition featured 24 works by the young Russian artist Klazki. His art is a blend of contemporary fine art, pop-art culture, illustration, and an unconventional perspective on everyday things.

Klazki is a Moscow-based artist, illustrator, and designer. Several years ago, Klazki created a character named Squirrel Johan. He is a white squirrel who lives a human life: going about his business, relaxing, dreaming, fooling around, getting into mischief, and sometimes feeling sad.

“The subjects of my works are drawn from the everyday life of Squirrel Johan. Johan is every one of us. Perhaps tomorrow I will see you on the street or in a café—and a new painting will emerge.”

In his short life, Johan the squirrel has already appeared in illustrations for postcards and as a motif on clothing patches, phone cases, and stickers.

Alongside his beloved character, Klazki also creates paintings on other subjects.

The exhibition presentation took place on Friday, September 9, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The presentation program included:
