Vernissage “The Wine Road”

In Photographs and Videos
On October 7, La Farandole Hotel hosted the official presentation of the Russian-French art project “The Wine Route.” At the heart of the project was a unique exhibition created here in Provence over the course of two weeks by artists who had come from Russia. This is the third project of its kind organized by Kvartira S Gallery in Provence. This time, in addition to creating paintings on the theme and working en plein air, the Russian artists devoted a considerable amount of time to sharing experience with Geneviève Canto, founder of the Bandol Academy of Arts and a former student of Dalí. Ekaterina, Maksim, and Viktoria mastered the unique trompe-l'œil technique and received certificates. A week before the exhibition opened, the artists held a joint master class and met with the press.
Among those attending the opening celebration on October 7 were Monsieur Guillaume Tari, president of the Bandol Wine Association, who hosted a wine tasting; renowned musician Paul Lelouch; staff of the Consulate General of Russia in Marseille; collectors, art connoisseurs, and representatives of Moscow’s business elite; as well as Pierre Chazal, Deputy Mayor of Sanary responsible for cultural affairs; Georges Zapolsky, president of the Orthodox community in Toulon; Philippe Koutsev, president of the Association of Russians in Provence; the Deputy Mayor of Bandol responsible for culture and communications; and others.
