Marina Tiik was born and raised in Moscow. She received professional training in decorative and applied arts and design. She began her creative career in textile design and later taught art. Through painting, Marina sought self-expression and never ceased her artistic exploration. Over the years, she developed a distinctive style and artistic language in which her mastery of diverse materials and techniques is organically combined with a gift for thinking in universal categories and symbols.
Over time, Marina’s work evolved towards abstraction, while its decorative quality now reveals itself solely through colour and the intricate texture of the painted surface.
“For me, abstract painting is a way to express and preserve in colour my personal feelings and impressions of our beautiful world. In my art, Faith, Hope and Love go hand in hand with a profound personal conviction and faith in the Human Being who feels with the heart,” Marina Tiik.

The work presented in the project is harmoniously balanced, both in its overall form and in its individual elements. Within it, the compositional space is governed by a harmonious unity of colour, form and content. The innovative concept of modular paintings is the artist’s creative experiment, expressing her desire to develop new forms in art. The work abounds in symbols and meanings—purity, hope, lightness and beauty. The image of a human figure is encoded at its centre.
“Through my paintings, I want to sustain a dialogue between the artist, the painting and the viewer. And I look to the future with hope!” Marina Tiik.
