Gallery Kvartira S announces an Open Call for participation in the group exhibition “Best Offer,” to be held in the exhibition halls of the ARTPLAY Design Center (Kurskaya metro station, 10 Nizhnyaya Syromyatnicheskaya Street) in April 2021.
Applications will be accepted at expo@kvartiras.com until February 10.
The exhibition is expected to run for 3–4 weeks.
Curator — Sasha Rishar.
The artist’s inner world is rich and multifaceted, while works that come from the heart possess a remarkable ability—to create new worlds on the surface of a canvas or in three-dimensional space, emotionally reflecting reality, appealing to our feelings, compelling us to empathize, changing our thoughts and perceptions, and thereby—making the world a better place.
The surface of a canvas is a kind of window into another world, which the artist generously shares, inviting the viewer to look inside. This time, we have decided to entrust the selection of works for the exhibition to the artists themselves and expect each application to feature the works that their creators consider their very best.
The application must include:
- a CV (the artist’s portfolio and a short biography as separate Word files);
- high-quality photographs of 1–3 completed works, with their dimensions, materials, year of creation, and price specified in a separate Word file;
- a photograph of the artist;
- a brief letter explaining why you consider these works your best.
Submissions may include painting, framed graphic art, installations, and art photography, with each artist submitting between 1 and 3 works.
Participation requires a membership fee of 6,000 rubles for gallery residents and 10,000 rubles for new participants. The membership fee includes installation services, PR, media announcements, catering, and guided exhibition tours. An agreement will be concluded with each participant.
