The exhibition of the fashionable Moscow artist and well-known designer-decorator Ekaterina Pugacheva «Color-Color» was held at the showroom "Le Kovёr".
Bright, juicy, mood-setting works by a young and successful author found their place in an equally colorful setting — in a boutique of remarkable carpets at the very heart of the Artplay Design Center.
Portraits and still lifes, oil and watercolor, combine with striking harmony with a collection of handwoven carpets, making it possible to transform any interior radically by bringing into it the warmth and charm of distant lands.

On Wednesday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m., as part of the presentation of the “Tsvet-Tsvet” exhibition at the Le Kovyor showroom, Kvartira S gallery artist, designer, and decorator Ekaterina Pugachyova discussed the atmosphere of an interior, as well as the role that objects, textures, and art objects play in creating it.
We explored such topics as:
- Art objects. How to breathe life into the perfect interior.
- Large-scale textiles and decorative painting. A sense of belonging within a space.
- Colour and texture. Harmonising and complementing. (We discussed how small-format paintings and rugs can serve decorators well in sustaining an interior concept, zoning a space, and reinforcing the colour schemes of its principal focal points)
- Intellectualising a space. How to find the subtle balance where the central focus becomes something more than expensive chairs.
- Collaborating with artists on individual commissions for decorative paintings.
- Handmade pieces in the interior. Infusing a space with life.
