The new exhibition “The Color of Life” brings together the work of three artists: Maria and Tatiana Timofeeva and Alina Khramova.

Today, despite every hardship, it is important to share our values with those around us and not lose our sense of the joy of being: to draw, create, connect with one another, and see the beauty and color of the world. Three Moscow artists—Alina Khramova and sisters Maria and Tatiana Timofeeva—draw the viewer’s attention to what gives life that very “lightness of being.”

The three artists’ painterly styles guide viewers toward a positive perception of the present, creating an oasis of calm amid the prevailing bustle and uncertainty. The exhibition is intended to fill viewers with positive energy, directly linked to the world’s awakening in spring, new plans, bold ideas, and, of course, the surge of strength needed to bring everything envisioned to life—no matter what, and often even against all odds.

About the Artists:

Maria Timofeeva is a professional artist and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Maria’s paintings have been shown in solo and group exhibitions at the Central House of Artists, Artplay, and the Tretyakov Gallery. Her work explores the relationship between humankind and nature, the interplay between objects and their surroundings, and the metaphysics of things.

Tatiana Timofeeva is a professional artist and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. She has participated in group and solo exhibitions at such prestigious venues as the Tretyakov Gallery, Artplay, and Gostiny Dvor. Tatiana’s distinctive style emerged from a fusion of her beloved watercolor technique with oil painting on canvas. Intricate textures, lightness, and bursts of color convey a sense of fleeting beauty.

Alina Khramova is an abstract artist and a graduate of the school at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art on Petrovka Street. “Intellectual abstraction” is her creative method, rooted in the carefully conceived narrative behind each painting. Textured layers and vigorous strokes made with a plastic card—or lighter ones applied with a roller—breathe life into the canvas. Alina’s paintings are held in private collections in Italy, Norway, and Russia.
