Kvartira S Gallery and Hostellerie La Farandole (Sanary, France) present the art project “D'en-verres & d’équilibres” / “Fragility and Balance.”
French photographer Mr Moustache and sculptor Amaury-P Maillet present “D'en-verres & d'quilibres,” an exhibition exploring dreams and waking reveries in the La Gorguette room at Hostellerie La Farandole.
Photographer Mr Moustache presents land-art photography, inviting us to see familiar places, cities and nature “from a different, unexpected perspective.” The theme of light is conveyed through vibrant colour, the contrasts of southern landscapes, and the interplay of opacity and transparency created by spheres.
Sculptor Amaury-P Maillet presents suspended metal sculptures—art mobiles. These expressive, memorable illusions are contemporary objects, highly graphic yet “alive,” transforming the room into a space in motion. The art mobiles are designed to respond to every breath of wind while preserving their poise and equilibrium.
The works of the two artists create a distinctive interplay between humanity and nature, “bringing spaces and places to life” and captivating the viewer’s gaze. In this exhibition, balance, movement and elegance exist in harmony with the rigour of geometry.
About the Artists:
David, known as Mr Moustache
A photographer from Aix-en-Provence. He has been passionate about photography since childhood. For many years, he worked as a photojournalist covering social events. He studied and later served as a director at the international photography community Tilllate.com. He has photographed for renowned magazines, books, and reality shows. He graduated from IMCI Paris Media. In 2020, he changed the direction of his artistic practice, turning to nature and architectural photography. He developed an artistic approach he called “Land’art.” He has participated in numerous exhibitions, including solo shows. His photographs are held in private collections.
Amaury-P. Maillet
A sculptor from Toulon. He studied in Brussels. From an early age, he drew inspiration from the work of his great-uncle, a friend of the renowned American sculptor Alexander Calder: drawings, paintings, sculptures, and especially mobiles, absorbing like a sponge a taste for geometric abstraction, art geometry, color, and volume... Several years ago, Amaury pursued a career in the hotel industry, but decided to return to his first passion and began creating kinetic sculptures. Complex in structure yet poetic in content, the sculptor’s works embody—balance, movement, and elegance. As in the natural world around us, they reveal the Fibonacci sequence, logarithmic spirals, and mathematical formulas. A sense of lightness and freedom contrasts with the rigor of geometry. He has participated in numerous exhibitions. Amaury’s mobiles are held in private collections around the world.
