Following the results of an Open Call held in late 2025, Kvartira S Gallery, in collaboration with the ARTPLAY Design Center, presents the exhibition “Feedback.”

The new year begins with “Feedback,” an exhibition exploring how art shapes and sustains communication—with audiences, context, time, and the self. The project focuses on a simple yet fundamental fact of artistic practice: no artist creates in a vacuum. Every work has an addressee, even if an implicit one, and exists in anticipation of a response: a gaze, an interpretation, a reaction, or sometimes disagreement. In some cases, this response becomes not a consequence of the work but its very purpose.

The exhibition brings together artists for whom interaction with the viewer is not a secondary function but an integral part of their artistic method. It features works conceived as direct addresses to an audience; works transformed by viewers’ responses; and projects assembled from messages, voices, and the digital traces of communication. An important place is also given to works in which silence, delay, or misunderstanding becomes a deliberate form of “response.”

“Feedback” considers art as a system of exchange—not a monologue, but an encounter. It is within this encounter that a work comes alive, becoming a point of connection between people, experiences, and meanings. The exhibition invites viewers to see how this dialogue emerges, how it transforms the work, and how the work itself becomes an impetus for new connections.
