Vitaly Leshukov’s solo exhibition “Awakening into Reality” is more than simply the fruit of labor and inspiration; it is a singular hymn to life—vivid, fulfilling, joyful, and happy. The exhibition comprises a series of vibrant landscapes executed in an intensely expressive Impressionist style. Built up with broad brushstrokes, the artist’s richly textured, three-dimensional works create an authentic sense of life unfolding before the viewer. Light, set in contrast with shadow, imbues their imagery with a distinctive atmosphere in which reality itself appears unreal.

                                      

Vitaly Leshukov was born in 1968 in Mirgorod into the family of a military pilot. His career as an artist began during rehabilitation after a severe injury sustained in a car accident. At the age of 47, having survived a coma and undergone a difficult path of recovery, Vitaly felt an irresistible desire to create. The absence of formal art education did not become an obstacle on his new path. Passion, work, and perseverance did their part: in a short time, Vitaly was accepted into the circle of professional artists as an original, powerful, and promising author.
