at the exhibition halls of the ARTPLAY Design Center (Moscow, Kurskaya metro station, 10 Nizhnyaya Syromyatnicheskaya Street)
from December 13, 2021, to January 9, 2022.
Applications must be submitted by December 1, 2021, to expo@kvartiras.com.
The number of participants is limited.
Curator — Sasha Rishar.
Today, we live in a reality where capturing time and events has been reduced to the click of a phone camera and documenting our lives in social media feeds. Here, past and future, real and imaginary, present and utopian intermingle.
As part of the open call, artists are invited to reflect on the connections between different forms of time and create portal-like works that transport viewers to particular events and memories.
Works addressing politics or featuring nudity will not be accepted for the exhibition.
The application must include:
- a CV (the artist’s portfolio and a brief biography as separate Word files);
- high-quality photographs of 1–3 completed works, with dimensions, materials, year of creation, and price specified in a separate Word file;
- a photograph of the artist;
- a brief letter of motivation explaining why you consider these works to be your best.
Painting, framed graphic art, installations, and art photography are eligible for submission, with each artist submitting between 1 and 3 works. Works will be selected by the curator and gallery staff.
Participation requires a membership fee of 6,000 rubles for gallery residents and 10,000 rubles for new participants. The membership fee includes installation services, PR, announcements in the media and on social networks, and guided exhibition tours. An agreement will be signed with each participant.
