The exhibition “Selected Works” presents the finest paintings created by the artist over many years of practice. It is vivid, linear-rhythmic, emotionally charged painting devoted to distant lands and exotic characters. Yet there is no literal reality or concrete detail in the artist’s works — only faces, forms, textures, and space that suggest shifting moods and evoke the most varied emotions. Every line, every brushstroke is infused with a vibration that rises from the artist’s inner state.

Violetta Nechaeva is an artist-stylist and Associate Professor at the Department of Costume and Fashion Art of the A. N. Kosygin Moscow State Textile University. She has taken part in and received awards at a number of international and Russian competitions and shows in costume, painting, and author dolls, among them: a First-Degree Diploma of Art Week in Denmark, participation in the International Assembly of Plein-Airs of Art Week in Italy, first place from the Spanish jury in the “Professional” category of the international art project “Grani,” and others. She is the author of more than thirty portrait dolls held in private collections in several countries abroad. She has been awarded the title of Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts in the field of design.
