Can lyrical abstract painting be paired with refined Italian furniture?
A joint project by Kvartira S Gallery and the showroom of Dutch furniture company Eichholtz proved it to be a “perfect match.” With their unusual colour combinations and compositional structures, abstract works complement an interior, making it feel more cohesive and thoughtfully conceived. They can either unite decorative elements or, conversely, draw attention to particular objects.
Above a broad, comfortable sofa, on a large wooden chest of drawers, beside a substantial handcrafted cabinet, or even simply on the floor next to an ornate floor lamp—this is precisely the beauty of such paintings: they can be placed anywhere, bringing the essential “emotional dimension” to an interior.

The Eichholtz showroom featured works by three young artists represented by Kvartira S Gallery: award-winning artist Tatiana Klyat, New York abstractionist Justone, and Moscow-based experimental artist Maxim Krasnitsky. Three artists with entirely distinct approaches created an exhibition whose works blended seamlessly into an interior furnished with high-end Italian pieces and luxurious accessories.
