Ekaterina Lebedeva is a fashionable Moscow artist. From early childhood Ekaterina has painted emotional, “voluminous” pictures created in a single breath. In her work she moves away from clear, concrete forms in pursuit of expression, of conveying her inner state. The artist’s practice is characterised by a saturated palette that heightens generalised forms.
Works by Ekaterina Lebedeva — massive, vivid, expressive — are held in private collections in Japan, Belgium, France, Serbia, Russia, and the USA.
The exhibition “Bloom” brings together the strongest works created by the artist over the past 10 years.
In addition, as part of the exhibition, an art object by Ekaterina Lebedeva has been installed on the ground floor of the Market building, and an Instagram photo contest has been organised under #heatofcreativity. The prize draw will take place on 26 October.
