Images familiar to everyone, as they appear in Anastasia Galitsyna’s works, make her art close and intelligible to almost anyone, yet their multiplicity of meaning leaves the artist’s oeuvre open to interpretation. On these canvases, inner human strength meets outer resistance and closes into a ring. Endless wheels symbolize struggle and motion, a reflection of the law of life, its joy, happiness, and inexhaustible energy.
The exhibition “Mind Games” comprises the artist’s works, which hold within them harmony and chaos, wholeness and destruction. This is painting of personal experience, filled with feeling and dynamism.
“Anastasia Galitsyna’s meaningful abstractions create spatial dialogues and transitions between spaces, demonstrating the attainment of a certain result. This can be almost anything — color, light, form, lines, ugliness, beauty.” Sasha Richard
