International Project ”Five Senses”
In photographs and video
On the eve of the vernissage of the exhibition “Five Senses,” we held an Evening of Art among the vineyards of Domaine De La Begude Vin de Bandol.
On a panoramic terrace with views in all four directions, guests could view paintings created by Sergei Gerasimov and Konstantin Lupanov for the project, taste wine, and listen to a concert by “Yuma Trio.”
On 8 June in Sanary-sur-Mer, in the salons of the hotel Hostellerie La Farandole, the VII Russian–French art project “Five Senses” took place, organized by the contemporary art gallery Kvartira S with the support of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Marseille.
The exhibition presents paintings by Russian artists Sergei Gerasimov and Konstantin Lupanov, who have exhibited at the Russian Museum (Saint Petersburg) and the Grand Palais (Paris), and have held a series of exhibitions in America, Italy, Germany, Singapore, and other countries. Especially for the “Five Senses” project, the artists created a series of Provençal works en plein air.
As part of the exhibition, the guest of honor of the vernissage — French photographer José Nicolas, recipient of an award for humanitarian work — presented his own pieces.
Beyond the exceptional quality of the works on view, guests were treated to live music performed by Elina Rodevic (violin) and Victoria Apreleva (piano); a special gift came in the form of musical improvisations by Paul Lelouch, brother of the celebrated film director.
The exhibition “Five Senses” runs until 31 August 2019. Admission is free.
