A sense of color is what unites the two artists, Maria and Tatiana Timofeeva, beyond their family bond. The color palette on the surface of their canvases transforms into vivid emotions and finds its way straight into the viewer’s heart. The work of both artists is guided by a single purpose—to touch the viewer’s soul.

The exhibition features works reflecting the artists’ explorations of color over the past year and a half. They represent the culmination of their painterly investigations, rendered in oil on canvas.

It is important to note that, alongside their painting practice, Maria and Tatiana have worked as interior designers for many years and have a profound understanding of how art can be incorporated into residential, professional, or public spaces.

“Painting is our passion. We are captivated by color and its ability to enter the heart with subtlety and enchantment. Our collaboration in this exhibition brings together our different worlds of color perception and our desire to share them with you,” say the Timofeeva sisters.

“The exhibition presents works that can effortlessly find their place in virtually any interior, either as an independent accent or as an integral element of a unified compositional solution,” says curator Sasha Rishar.

About the Artists:

Maria and Tatiana Timofeeva are artists, designers, and interior decorators. They are members of the International Association of Art at UNESCO (Union of Artists of Russia) and have participated in regional, national, and international exhibitions.

Born into the family of watercolorist V. V. Timofeev, Maria and Tatiana have lived and breathed painting from an early age.

“We are friends and fellow artists, and we are fortunate to be sisters. Each of us is moved by different things in her creative practice, but we are united by shared aspirations. At present, we are enthralled by oil painting. Walking along the seashore laden with easels and canvases is the path we have chosen. Everything you will see at the exhibition ‘A Sense of Color’ was painted over the past year and a half, and we hope that our explorations of color will bring you pleasure.”
