In 2016, in collaboration with the poet Anna Arkatova, gallery artist Maria Polushkina published the book “Between Us”.
The book brings together Maria’s paintings and poems from various years by Anna Arkatova.

"This is not a book of illustrations to poems, nor poems written specially for the paintings. These paintings simply go remarkably well with the poems!"

In the illustrations there is a certain authenticity of true fine art. They have the power to enchant, to amuse, and even to awaken a sense of nostalgia in the viewer. In our world, where everything has long become digital, it is a small miracle to see illustrations returning to art.
