The project “Parallel Worlds” presents works by two contemporary artists — Sasha Sokolova and Natalia Onufrieva.

Paintings executed in different techniques and in the artists’ distinctive personal styles are united by the theme of how the inner and outer worlds shape a woman’s identity, while the works themselves are filled with bright, sunlit colors and a playful spirit.

Natalia’s works draw the viewer’s attention inward — sharp, prickly forms and fluid ornamental shapes symbolize the vivid individuality and boldness inherent in every woman. The exhibition includes new paintings by Natalia created for the gallery’s project Les Femmes in France. Sasha Sokolova’s paintings tell of the stories and states a woman enters when her inner world is in harmony with her surroundings. The exhibition features new works by Sasha from her well-known Splash series.
